Telangana CM Revanth Reddy's visit to Hyderabad's prestigious Osmania University was nothing less than historic.
He is the first CM of the state to have addressed the students of the famed university. With several projects in the pipeline, CM Revanth Reddy vowed to provide the funds needed to develop the varsity so that it surpasses the standards of Stanford and Oxford universities.
Osmania University (OU) was at the helm of the historic Telangana movement that demanded the separation of the state from the erstwhile Andhra Pradesh. The CM aimed to strike the right chords with the students of the varsity with the announcement of various projects. He even acknowledged the students and leaders who played an active role in the Telangana movement.
Stating that OU is a living testament to Telangana's history, CM said he would come back to this university again and the meeting would be held at the Arts College.
Laying the foundation stone for the construction of new hostel buildings and a library reading room for students, Revanth Reddy directed experts to prepare comprehensive estimates for transforming the university.
"By 2034, for Telangana to grow into a 1 trillion dollar economy, and by 2047 into a 3 trillion dollar economic power, all of you must study. Only education can transform this society," said the CM.
