The intensity of the rain has increased in the Mumbai suburbs. Many roads in the Andheri area are flooded, including Nagardas Road in Andheri East, Jayaprakash Road in Andheri West, and Veera Desai Road. Due to the fast-flowing water, the police have prohibited citizens from walking on the roads.

The Andheri subway was closed to traffic for five and a half hours after it filled with up to five feet of water, Marathi media reports said. The water level rose due to an overflow of the Mogra drain, and it also entered nearby shops. Police reportedly reprimanded a young man for forcing his way into the subway. Meanwhile, Chembur's Maa Hospital witnessed water reaching four to five feet high, causing major difficulties for patients, Esakal said in a report.

A huge traffic congestion was reported due to a signal failure under the flyover near Kandivali East's Thakur Village signal. Numerous vehicles, including an ambulance, were en route to the Western Express Highway in the area. Numerous vehicles have got stuck in the waterlogged Mumbai roads since the morning. The Maha Mumbai Metro Operation Corporation Ltd asked the public that if they are forced to go out amidst the adverse weather, they should take the metro instead of risking getting stuck in the long block on roads.
