Is Prashant Kishor OK? Jan Suraaj supremo suffers rib injury at Bihar roadshow

The former poll strategist got up on the stage but due to excruciating pain he sat on the stage with his hand on the chest before leaving the venue half an hour later

Prashant Kishor, the founder of Jan Suraaj party, suffered a rib injury on Friday while trying after hitting the door of his vehicle during a roadshow in Bihar's Arrah, according to reports.

Kishor arrived at Veer Kunwar Singh Stadium in Arrah in the evening to address a large crowd of supporters as part of Bihar Parivartan Yatra. He was scheduled at arrive at the venue around 3 pm and people were waiting at the stadium since 12 pm. However, he arrived only by 6 pm.

Once he arrived, Kishor got out of his vehicle to greet the supporters and receive garlands. One of the women supporters reportedly fell and Kishor was trying to help her when the accident happened. Reports said the crowd gathered on the ground outside the stadium began pushing when Kishor reached and caused injury to his rib.

The former poll strategist got up on the stage but due to excruciating pain he sat down with his hand on the chest. Around 30 minutes later, Kishor left without addressing the gathering and was taken to a private hospital, where he was given first aid.

A CT scan was also taken, following which he left for Patna for further treatment. The injury is reportedly not major and his condition is stable. Doctors reportedly advised two-three days of rest for Kishor.

Kishor's Jan Suraaj party is set to contest across all the 243 assembly seats in the upcoming polls in 2026, setting a triangular contest against JDU-led NDA and RJD-led Mahagathbandhan.
