A Lamborghini car hit two pedestrians on a footpath adjacent to an under-construction building in Noida’s Sector 94 on Sunday evening.

The injured— labourers from Chhattisgarh—have been rushed to a nearby hospital where they both are said to be out of danger. Both of them have suffered fracture in their legs, said police.

However, what turned out to be more shocking was the alleged insensitive reaction of the car driver to the accident.

A purported video showed workers wearing safety helmets and orange jackets running towards the car which stopped on the footpath after the accident.

A man was heard asking the driver if he knew how many people died here. To this, the accused asked the locals "koi mar gaya idhar? (did anyone die here?)" and came out of the car.

The man, who was recording the video, was heard saying "police ko bulao (call the police)".

Alerted by the locals, police reached the spot and arrested the driver and took the vehicle into custody.

"The car driver has been identified as Deepak, a resident of Ajmer and the car is registered with the Puducherry registration. He has been arrested and the car has been seized," said Bhupendra Singh, In-charge at Sector 126 Police Station.

According to reports, Deepak is involved in the business of buying and selling cars.

The accused told police that the accident occurred due to some fault in the vehicle, though a detailed investigation in underway.
