Though it has yet to announce the name of the new Delhi Chief Minister, the BJP has begun preparations for the swearing-in ceremony to be held at the end of the week.
The event will be held at Delhi's famous Ramlila Maidan at 4:30 pm on Thursday, according to ABP News.
A BJP high-level meeting has been convened under the chairmanship of BJP state president Virendra Sachdeva to finalise the event. The guest list for the ceremony and the seating arrangement will also be finalised in this meeting. BJP leaders Vinod Tawde and Tarun Chugh have been entrusted with selecting the guests and other preparations.
Interestingly, Ramlila Maidan hold significance in Delhi and BJP wants to restart its innings from the same place which saw the birth of AAP as a political party. It was in Ramlila Maidan where the Anna Hazare anti-corruption movement sprouted up in 2011, which moulded Arvind Kejriwal as a leader. On 28 December 2013, AAP was born and within 12 months of the announcement of the party, Arvind Kejriwal's party got tremendous success in Delhi, becoming its chief minister for the first time.

War of words with AAP over delay in swearing-in
The delay in choosing the chief minister has triggered a war of words between acting CM Atishi of the AAP and the BJP. Atishi said the BJP was unable to find a leader befitting the status of chief minister from the 48 MLAs. She alleged that the party was battling "internal conflicts" over portfolio allocation as its leaders "are more focused on maximizing their share of loot".
However, BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain responded to these allegations, stating that "the BJP will do all its work on time. "Don't give gyaan on this issue," Hussain told Athishi.
