With Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to travel to the US on Wednesday, India is expected to submit a list of 12 gangsters who are hiding in the country.

Wanted by the National Investigation Agency (NIA), these gangsters include Goldy Brar and Anmol Bishnoi. The Union Ministry of Home Affairs recently directed central agencies to compile the list of fugitive gangsters based in the US along with their criminal dossiers.

The US authorities arrested Anmol Bishnoi, who is the younger brother of Lawrence Bishnoi, last November. Anomol, who was travelling with fake documents, is allegedly responsible of the plotting the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai. In January, a Mumbai special court issued a non-bailable warrant for Anmol in Siddique's murder.

Goldy Brar, who has been designated a terrorist under UAPA charges, is allegedly behind the assassinationg of Sidhu Moosewala in 2022. Brar, whose real name is Satinderjit Singh, hails from Punjab's Fardikot. He arrived in Canada on a student visa in 2017 and later moved to California, from where he is believed to be operating.

Another wanted gangster is Darmanjot Singh Kahlon, who allegedly supplied weapons to killers of Moosewala as well as smuggled heroin and explosives from Pakistan. He is also believed to be the link that connects Canada-based Lakhbir Singh Landa and the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

Amritpal Singh, a member of the Jaggu Bhagwanpuria gang, is allegedly wanted for establishing terror modules in Punjab. He is also accused of conspirating with Paramjit Singh Pamma in 2023.

Aman Sambhi, Ashu alias Bhanu Pratap Sambhli, Harjot Singh, Harbir Singh, Navroop Singh, Swaran Singh alias Fauji, Sahil Kailash Ritoli and Yogesh alias Bobby Beri are the other gangsters in the list.

Some of these gangsters have links with Pakistani drug smugglers, who use drones and ships to traffick narcotics to India.
