Several trains on the Konkan Railway route were cancelled or diverted on Wednesday after a tunnel in Goa's Pernem got waterlogged, said officials.

Train traffic on the route was first disrupted from 2.35 pm on Tuesday after water began oozing out in the Pernem tunnel, which lies between Madure and Pernem.

Konkan Railway Corporation (KRCL) Deputy General Manager Baban Ghatge said the water was removed from the tunnel by night following which traffic clearance was issued at 10.13 pm.
