Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi said the prime minister is blatantly lying about the “Babri lock” row and the party has maintained that they respect the Supreme Court’s decision on Ayodhya Ram Mandir.

Talking to presspersons at Rae Bareli on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s remark, Gandhi said, “This is a blatant lie. Congress has said again and again that everyone will respect the decision of the Supreme Court and that is what we have done, and will continue to do,” ANI reported.

Campaigning for Lok Sabha polls at Dhar, Madhya Pradesh recently, the prime minister said, “Modi wants 400 seats so that the Congress won't bring back Article 370 to spoil the game and put a Babri lock on the Ram temple in Ayodhya.”

The Congress leader also said her brother and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi has not stopped criticising industrialists like Ambani and Adani and he continues to do that. “It seems that even PM Modi is compelled to take their names. What he said, that Rahul Gandhi has stopped taking their names, is absolutely wrong. He is speaking about them every day,” she said.
