3 dead, 10 injured in firing in Jammu's Rajouri

Civilian injured in grenade attack in Srinagar

Three persons, who were among the 13 people injured in a firing incident in Jammu's Rajouri, succumbed to their  injuries on Sunday evening. The attack that took place at Village Dangri, 7-8 km from Rajouri town, has sparked panic in the area.

All the injured had been rushed to Government Medical College (GMC) in Jammu where three persons later succumbed to their injuries. The rest are undergoing treatment for multiple bullet injuries.  

The police and Army have rushed to the spot to investigate the incident. 

Meanwhile, a civilian was injured in a grenade attack in Srinagar Hawal Chowk on Sunday evening. The grenade was aimed at a CRPF bunker of 28 battalion but missed the intended target resulting in injuries to a civilian. The CRPF and police launched a search operation in the area.

“There was an attempt to throw a grenade on a CRPF vehicle in a crowded area of MK Chowk; it missed its target & caused minor splinter injury to one local boy. Operations launched in the area to nab the culprit”, police said in a tweet.
