Rakesh Tikait on Thursday warned the BJP against attempts to disrupt the Kisan Mahapanchayat in Lucknow, which will be held on November 22 (Monday).
Tikait had previously claimed the mahapanchayat would be a historic event that would prove to be the “last nail in the coffin for the anti-farmer government (referring to the Narendra Modi dispensation) and the three black laws”.
Tikait targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath at a meeting of farmers in Hapur district on Thursday. “Our mahapanchayat in Lucknow on November 22 will be peaceful. But the farmers will not let the planes of the prime minister and the chief minister land anywhere in the state if they try to put up hurdles in the way of the mahapanchayat convened by the Samyukta Kisan Morcha,” Tikait was quoted as saying by The Telegraph.

Tikait also a coined a slogan against the BJP for the upcoming assembly elections. The slogan was "Kamal ka phool ek bhool tha (It was a mistake to vote for the lotus)".
Tikait declared “We will correct the mistake in the 2022 assembly polls and the 2024 Lok Sabha elections,” The Telegraph reported. "I want to tell Yogi Adityanath to get ready as we are coming to Lucknow on November 22 to hold the mahapanchayat at Eco Garden. We are not going to Lucknow to wage a war against anybody but we must tell Yogi Adityanath that we are coming," Tikait stated.
