BJP MP Dilip Ghosh has declared the party unit in West Bengal is set for a revamp, ANI reported on Sunday.
Ghosh's comments come before a meeting of the BJP's national executive on Sunday.
"The party president and general secretary (organisation) will talk to our state team and on the basis of that, there will be some organisational change. Now, the executive meeting is being held after a long time, after about one-and-half years," Ghosh was quoted as saying by ANI.
Ghosh also played down comments by Tathagata Roy who had criticised the state BJP unit. Roy, who had been governor of Tripura and Meghalaya, had claimed the BJP state unit had inducted opportunists from the Trinamool Congress and ignored loyal party workers. Ghosh said "Tathagata Roy has no issue. He does not have any office-bearer post of the party. It [Roy's criticism] is not an issue for our party."

The West Bengal BJP has been hit by a spate of defections to the Trinamool Congress in the months since the regional party returned to power in Assembly elections this year.
Most of the defectors had been TMC leaders who had crossed over to the BJP prior to the elections. This had led to criticism of the BJP leadership, including Ghosh who was the state unit president at the time of the elections. Ghosh was appointed the BJP chief in December 2015 and was replaced in September. In his tenure, the BJP rose to become the main opposition force in the state, but his style of functioning was also criticised by some in the BJP.
