Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday tweeted that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and has isolated himself. "On getting the initial symptoms, I got Covid checked and my report came back positive. I am in self-isolation and fully following the consultation of physicians. I am managing all tasks virtually. All activities of the state government are being conducted normally. Meanwhile, all those who have come in contact with me must do their investigation and take precaution," Adityanath posted in Hindi.

The chief minister had isolated himself on Tuesday after some officials in his contact tested positive for Covid-19.

Adityanath's is the third high profile COVID positive case in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Earlier in the day, former Uttar Pradesh CM and Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav had tested positive; so was the state Urban Development Minister Ashutosh Tandon.
