Security has been beefed up outside the Siddaganga mutt in Tumakuru. Shivakumara Swamiji was undergoing treatment after he developed a lung infection after a liver bypass last month. As the religious head of Lingayatism, Shivakumara Swamiji had a significant influence in Karnataka politics.
