In a major embarrassment to the BJP, leader of opposition in Madhya Pradesh assembly, Ajay Singh, alleged that the saffron party's poll campaign advertisement, titled 'Samrudh Madhya Pradesh', is a copy of an advertisement campaign conducted by state government in September this year. The BJP had kick-started its election campaign in the state on Sunday.

Ajay Singh, in a letter to MP Chief Electoral Officer V.L. Kantha Rao, said the state government had launched a campaign on September 27, with a catchline, 'Idea Me Dum Hai to Pooraa Karenge Hum'. The advertisement was released by the public relations department. Singh said the wordings of government advertisement and the one released by the BJP on October 21 are the same, and even the catchline Idea Me Dum Hai to Pooraa Karenge Hum' appears in the party campaign ad.

In its poll advertisement, the BJP asked the citizens to give fresh ideas for governance, which would be implemented when the party forms government in the state for a fourth time.

The contents of both the advertisements are the same, except for a phone number which has been changed in the BJP poll advertisement.
