With incessant rains and rising water levels, the situation in Kerala is getting grim by the day. Commutation has taken a hit with flight, rail and metro services being canceled.
The Cochin International Airport Limited (CIAL) has suspended all operations till 2pm on Saturday (August 18). Almost all flights have been rescheduled to Trivandrum or Calicut. With many flights being canceled, various airlines have announced special flights and waiver on penalties or cancellation fees for air passengers.
Jet Airways
Jet Airways has extended waivers on penalties on all confirmed tickets for flights operating to and from Kochi up to August 18, 2018. "Considering the current situation in #Kochi, we’ve extended the waiver on penalties for date/ flight change, refund, no-show and fare difference if any, on all confirmed tickets for flights operating to and from Kochi up to 18th August 2018," Jet Airways in a Twitter update on Thursday.

It had offered similar waiver on charges for passengers flying from Calicut International Airport on Wednesday.

IndiGo
IndiGo airlines have announced cancellation/rescheduling fee waiver to all passengers who were scheduled to travel between August 16 and 18.

Air Vistara
Premier airline Air Vistara is operating special flights to Trivandrum after CIAL shut down. Vistara will operate from Delhi and Chennai, and has also capped economy class fares at Rs 10,000-7,500.

GoAir has announced waivers on rescheduling of flight services and cancellations until August 18. Customers are requested to call 18602100999 to reschedule their flights.

Air India
Air India has informed that the Cochin-Jeddah flight from CIAL will operate from Trivandrum Airport and will depart by 5:30 pm on Thursday.
"Due to current suspension of service at Kochi airport, AI963, scheduled to fly from Cochin to Jeddah, will operate from Trivandrum Airport on 16th August, 2018. Dep 1730 local time and arrival 2045 local time at Jeddah," Air India said.
