The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is likely to declare the results of the Joint Entrance Examination―Main (JEE Main) today. Both Paper I and Paper II are expected to be announced along with the students' ranks and the list of 220,000 candidates eligible for the JEE Advance exam.
The results are expected to be announced at 11 am today. Candidates who have appeared for the JEE Main online and offline paper can check their results at the official website―jeemain.nic.in. The CBSE will also release the results on cbseresults.nic.in and results.nic.in. Ranks declared along with the JEE Mains examination will include both All India and All India category ranking. Those who clear the JEE Main exam are eligible for the JEE Advance exam which is used for admissions to IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) and other top engineering institutions.
The registration process for JEE Advance will begin on May 20 and the exam will be conducted online on the same day.

- Go to any one of the official websites: jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in
- Click on the JEE Main 2018 results link on the homepage
- On the results page, enter your name, registration/roll number and date of birth
- Click on submit
- Your JEE Main result will be displayed onscreen
- Download and take a printout of your JEE Main 2018 result
It is estimated that around 11 lakh students appeared for the JEE Main exam this year to pursue higher education in technical courses. The JEE Main is conducted every year for admission to engineering and architecture courses in NITs, IITs and other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutes) across the country.
This year, the JEE Main offline exam was conducted on April 8 and the online exam was on April 15 and 16. The weightage for the class XII marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main exam was not taken into account.
