The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has, on Monday, declared the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Paper I.
The results, with ranks, are now available on the websites jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in, and results.nic.in. The website also carries the list of 220,00 candidates who are eligible for the JEE Advanced exam, according to media reports.
Offline JEE Main exam was held on April 8, and the online exam was conducted on April 15 and 16.
Vijayawada's Suraj Krishna bagged the top rank in JEE for engineering colleges, reports PTI.
It is estimated that around 11 lakh students appeared for the JEE Main exam this year to pursue higher education in technical courses. The JEE Main is conducted every year for admission to engineering and architecture courses in NITs, IITs and other CFTIs (Centrally Funded Technical Institutes) across the country.
Media reports reveal that registration process for JEE Advanced will begin on May 2.
Here is how you can check the JEE Main 2018 results:
*Go to any one of the official websites: jeemain.nic.in, cbseresults.nic.in or results.nic.in
*Click on the JEE Main 2018 results link on the homepage
*On the results page, enter your name, registration/roll number and date of birth
*Click on submit
*Your JEE Main result will be displayed onscreen
*Download and take a printout of your JEE Main 2018 result
The weightage for the class XII marks in calculating the ranks in the JEE Main exam was not taken into account.
