Even as the Parliament continued to be stalled for the sixth day on Monday over various issues, Lok Sabha witnessed an exchange of pleasantries between Congress president Rahul Gandhi and BJP veteran L.K. Advani.

According to a report in the Times of India, Rahul, on seeing Advani seated alone in the front row of the treasury benches before the proceedings began on Monday morning, went straight to him and asked his well being. Advani reportedly replied: “I am fine but the House is not.”

The report further says that the former deputy prime minister told the Congress leader that it was the first time he was seeing neither the opposition, nor the speaker or the prime minister being able to end the impasse.

Monday saw the sixth straight day of washout of proceedings in the lower house with parties raising a host of issues such as PNB fraud, special status for Andhra Pradesh, enhanced quota for Telangana and constitution of the Cauvery river board to settle Tamil Nadu's water dispute with neighbours.
