Ayushmann Khurrana and Sara Ali Khan’s spy-comedy "Udta Teer" recorded exceptional improvement at the box office on its second day, with collections rising by 76.8% on Saturday. Directed by Aakash Kaushik, the film earned ₹10.20 crore in worldwide gross collections on Day 2, taking its total worldwide gross to ₹16.28 crore in its first two days, according to Sacnilk figures.

The film opened with a steady ₹4.10 crore in India net collections on Friday. On Saturday, its India net collection increased to ₹7.25 crore, bringing the two-day total to ₹11.35 crore. Its India gross collection reached ₹13.53 crore, while overseas markets contributed ₹2.75 crore to the cumulative worldwide gross.

The film’s second-day performance showed signs of growing audience interest. "Udta Teer was screened across 6,164 shows on Saturday, taking its total show count to 12,429 over two days.

Its average collection per show also increased significantly, from ₹6,544 on the opening day to ₹11,762 on Saturday. Meanwhile, occupancy for Hindi 2D screenings rose from 15.65% on Friday to 21% on Saturday.

This growth suggests that positive word-of-mouth may be helping the film attract more viewers. The strong jump on its first Saturday is encouraging, although its performance over the coming days will determine whether it can maintain this momentum.

Compared to Ayushmann Khurrana's recent theatrical release, "Udta Teer" has recorded a moderate opening. "Thamma" opened with approximately ₹24–25.11 crore net in India, while "Dream Girl 2" collected around ₹9.75–10.69 crore on its first day.

However, "Udta Teer" performed slightly better than "Doctor G", which opened at ₹3.87 crore, and "Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui", which earned ₹3.75 crore. Its opening was also comparable to "Pati Patni Aur Woh Do", which collected around ₹3.85–4.38 crore on Day 1.

The difference in opening collections highlights the advantage of established franchises and popular film brands. Movies like "Thamma" and "Dream Girl 2" benefited from strong audience recognition, while standalone films often encounter viewership challenges. Another challenge is that many audiences prefer to watch smaller, content-driven films on OTT.

If positive audience feedback continues and collections remain strong over the weekend, "Udta Teer" could build a healthier box-office run.
