"Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" may have conquered both domestic (India gross: ₹191.02 crore and India net: ₹163.61 crore) and worldwide box office charts (₹329.27 crore worldwide), marking many milestones for lead star Nivin Pauly. However, it has yet to be number one in the overseas market.

The one actor who still holds the crown here is Mohanlal, with "L2: Empuraan". "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" is currently the second highest-grossing Malayalam film overseas, with an impressive ₹138.15 crore from the key international markets, putting it just behind "L2: Empuraan", which remains the highest overseas grosser for a Malayalam film with around ₹142 crore, per trade portal Sacnilk.

So, "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" needs about ₹5 crore to achieve this target. However, given its OTT release on JioHotstar on Oct. 2, 2026, it would be a bit of a challenge to realise this goal.

By far, "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" has surpassed several major Malayalam blockbusters in overseas earnings. It has surpassed "Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra", which earned ₹119.50 crore overseas, as well as "Drishyam 3", with ₹111.70 crore, and "Thudarum", which collected around ₹93 crore. "Manjummel Boys", one of the biggest Malayalam overseas performers of 2024, finished with approximately ₹73.50 crore.

The film’s strong international performance has been driven largely by audiences in the Gulf and European markets. Its success is particularly notable in the Middle East, where Malayalam cinema has a large and loyal audience.

The GCC region has contributed more than ₹72.93 crore, or over $7.6 million, making it the film’s biggest overseas market. The United Kingdom has also delivered exceptional results. The film has crossed the £1.3 million mark in the UK, equivalent to roughly ₹16.76 crore, placing it among the highest-grossing Malayalam films in the territory.

North America and Australia have also contributed strongly, with audiences in the United States, Canada and Australia turning out in significant numbers.
