On Day 3, the film collected around ₹14.35 crore net from 7,135 shows, taking its three-day India net total to ₹33.60 crore and its India gross to ₹40.15 crore, per estimates reported by Sacnilk. Overseas collections added another ₹3.50 crore gross, including ₹1.25 crore on Sunday. The film’s worldwide gross has now reached approximately ₹43.65 crore.

Sunday proved particularly strong, with a recorded 49.98% overall occupancy. The rise in collections across the weekend suggests that the film benefited from growing audience interest, particularly in mass-market circuits.

"The Vvaan" is a significant milestone for Sidharth Malhotra. Its opening weekend net collection of ₹33.25 crore is being reported as his biggest domestic opening weekend since 2015.

The film also marks a big milestone for Tamannaah Bhatia, who returns to a leading role in a Hindi theatrical release after seven years. She previously appeared only in a brief role in the ensemble cast of "Stree 2", another supernatural thriller, but "The Vvaan" represents a more prominent solo-led Hindi theatrical outing for the actress.

While on "Stree", "The Vvaan" has performed better than the 2018 "Stree" in the first three days. That film, headlined by Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, and Shraddha Kapoor, opened with ₹6.82 crore net on Day 1, compared with roughly ₹8 crore for "The Vvaan". On its first Saturday, "Stree" collected ₹10.87 crore, while "The Vvaan" reached ₹11.25 crore.

The biggest difference, however, was noticed on Sunday. "Stree" recorded ₹14.57 crore, slightly ahead of the Day 3 figure of "The Vvaan" of around ₹14 crore. Even so, "The Vvaan" finished its opening weekend marginally ahead, with ₹33.25 crore compared with the ₹32.27 crore collected by "Stree".

However, the comparison also highlights the challenge ahead. "Stree" eventually earned ₹129.90 crore net in India, driven by strong word of mouth and sustained audience interest over several weeks. Its worldwide gross reached ₹180.76 crore. Furthermore, "Stree" achieved this with relatively fewer screens. "The Vvaan" had the advantage of opening on more screens. It remains to be seen whether the film’s Monday collections will match or surpass that of "Stree".

The primary appeal of "The Vvaan" appears to be its folk-horror setting, which seems to have appealed to audiences in states such as Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. Also starring actors such as Anup Soni, Sunil Grover,
Shweta Tiwari, and Maniesh Paul, the film, directed by Deepak Kumar Mishra, reportedly features a Chhath Puja sequence, which is celebrated predominantly in Bihar, Jharkhand, and eastern Uttar Pradesh.
