Apple TV unveils launch date of original heist thriller '12 12 12'

Apple TV+ is gearing up to launch its new original heist thriller, "12 12 12", on Friday, November 13, 2026. Starring Anthony Mackie and Jamie Dornan, the high-stakes crime series follows an ambitious bank vault robbery buried deep beneath the streets of Zurich.

The title reflects the unusual structure of the story. The series unfolds across three connected periods: 12 months spent planning the robbery, 12 hours carrying out the dangerous heist, and 12 days spent trying to escape the authorities after the operation goes wrong.

Mackie plays a disgraced FBI agent who is determined to track down Dornan's character, an American career criminal. Their pursuit becomes a tense game of cat and mouse that stretches across Europe. The international cast also includes Jack Kesy, Kali Reis, Agathe Rousselle, Sallie Harmsen, and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.

The series is created and executive produced by Dudi Appleton and Jim Keeble. Kari Skogland directs the pilot and several other episodes and also serves as an executive producer. Skogland previously worked with Mackie on "The Falcon and the Winter Soldier", directing all six episodes of the 2021 Marvel series.

Skogland is an Emmy-nominated and BAFTA Award-winning Canadian director, showrunner, and producer. Her television credits include acclaimed series such as "The Handmaid's Tale", "The Walking Dead", "The Punisher", "Boardwalk Empire", "House of Cards", "Vikings", and "The Americans". She also directed the pilot of "The Loudest Voice" and worked on the Apple TV+ series "Smoke".

"12 12 12" will consist of eight episodes. Apple TV+ plans to release the first two episodes together on November 13, followed by one new episode every Friday. The finale is scheduled for Christmas Day, December 25, 2026.
