Nivin Pauly's "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" is on the way to achieve the biggest milestone yet, as it completes its third-week run in theatres. Its Day 21 domestic net of ₹2.30 crore in India, from 1,711 shows, has pushed it closer to the #1 position in the list of all-time highest-grossing Malayalam films. Its total India gross collection is now ₹158.20 crore and India net collection, ₹135.45 crore.
The film also maintained a steady performance overseas, earning ₹1.25 crore on Day 21. Its total overseas gross now stands at ₹130.25 crore. With this, "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" has reached a worldwide gross of ₹288.45 crore.
The film is now just ₹11.55 crore away from crossing the prestigious ₹300 crore global mark. If its current pace continues, it is expected to comfortably pass the milestone and finish its lifetime theatrical run in the ₹305–₹315 crore range.
Such a finish would put "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" in direct competition with "Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra" for the title of the highest-grossing Malayalam film of all time. "Lokah Chapter 1: Chandra" currently stands at an estimated ₹302–₹304 crore worldwide.
The film has already surpassed major Malayalam blockbusters such as "Manjummel Boys" and "L2: Empuraan". It currently ranks second among the biggest worldwide grossers in Mollywood and is closing in on the all-time record.
In Kerala, the film's performance has been equally impressive. The Onam release has collected ₹128.25 crore in the state by Day 21, putting it just ₹1.25 crore behind "Vaazha II: Biopic of a Billion Bros", which finished with ₹129.50 crore.
Both films reached the ₹100 crore mark in Kerala in just 15 days, tying the record for the fastest ₹100 crore collection in the state. With only ₹1.25 crore separating the two films, "Bethlehem Kudumba Unit" is now within touching distance of becoming Kerala's highest-grossing film ever.
