Yash's highly anticipated film 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' has officially released in cinemas worldwide on August 26th, marking his return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus following the success of KGF 2.

Yash’s much-awaited 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' has finally arrived in theatres, ending the 4-year anticipation of fans longing to watch the star on screen after KGF 2.

Released worldwide on August 26, the action thriller has generated enormous anticipation, particularly after Yash’s blockbuster run with the KGF franchise. As per the latest box office collection figures cited by Sacnilk, Toxic has minted a total of ₹23.54 crore on the opening day as of 10 am, suggesting a strong opening for the Geetu Mohandas directorial.

The Hindi version has collected ₹9.09 crore net from 4,279 shows at 32.0 per cent occupancy. The Kannada version has so far minted ₹8.67 crore net from just 809 shows with an extraordinary 82.0 per cent occupancy. In the Telugu market, the film has earned ₹4.27 crore net across 1,194 shows. The Tamil and Malayalam versions together have made ₹1.07 crore and ₹0.44 crore respectively.

Talking about pre-booking, a total of 16.7 lakh tickets were sold in pre-sales on BookMyShow alone. This makes the movie stand as one of the highest pre-sellers in Indian cinema history, trailing only behind Yash's own KGF Chapter 2, which had amassed 2.90 million tickets on the platform, as per Sacnilk.

Several industry reports have projected a ₹100 crore-plus worldwide opening. The film has been released across multiple Indian languages, including Kannada, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam, while also targeting international audiences. Toxic also made history by overtaking 'Jana Nayagan', which had ₹22.26 crore in opening-day advances.
