"Blast" has shown no signs of slowing down even after it enters its second week. Following an impressive second weekend collection — second Sunday registered the highest daily earnings (Rs 4.35 crore)  since the first Sunday figures (Rs 6 crore) — the Arjun Sarja-starrer has crossed the Rs 50 crore mark in terms of global total.

The film, which co-stars Abhirami and Preity Mukundhan in equally significant roles with lead star Arjun, is performing like an absolute juggernaut compared to similarly budgeted films, clocking in a phenomenal 293% return on its production cost. Made on a highly modest reported budget of Rs 18 crore, the martial arts-driven action thriller bypassed its theatrical break-even mark by Day 4 and has accumulated a massive Rs 52.80 crore in worldwide collection by Day 11.

Most second-tier action films see flat or declining collections by their second Sunday due to audience fatigue, but "Blast" defied this trend completely by registering a 24.3% jump from Saturday's collection, driven by a stellar 46.87% occupancy rate in the Tamil market. Unlike high-budget event films that rely on massive pre-release marketing campaigns, "Blast" arrived quietly and built consistent momentum entirely post-release through strong word-of-mouth.

Its initial Day 1 collection started at a modest Rs 1.25 crore but registered an 81.4% uptick by Day 3 due to strong audience appreciation for its martial arts choreography and grounded storytelling, which, for many audiences, especially in Kerala, where it did excellent business, recalled other family-oriented thrillers like "Drishyam" and "RDX".

Directed by debutant Subash K. Raj, "Blast" has already secured its spot as one of the most profitable Tamil films of 2026 relative to its cost. While similar films wrap up their theatrical run around the Rs 25–30 crore mark, "Blast" is comfortably on track to eye a Rs 65–70 crore lifetime finish. It is expected to surpass the lifetime gross of Dhanush's "Kara", which was declared a flop after a week, and earned only Rs 53.78 crore in its month-long run.
