'Peddi' Day 2 Box Office Collection: After century in worldwide earnings, Ram Charan starrer grosses ₹100 crore in domestic business
'Peddi' has achieved a significant box office milestone, becoming Ram Charan's first solo film to gross ₹100 crore worldwide on its opening day
"Peddi," starring Ram Charan, has achieved a significant box office milestone by grossing over ₹100 crore domestically on its second day, following a record-breaking opening day collection of ₹135.36 crore worldwide, which included ₹18.5 crore from paid previews and ₹51 crore on its release day. This success marks a strong comeback for Ram Charan after his previous film, "Game Changer," and is attributed to the compelling narrative of a lower-caste villager becoming a wrestler for community dignity in 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh, boosted by the performances of Shiva Rajkumar and Janhvi Kapoor and the technical expertise of A.R. Rahman and Ratnavelu, with projections indicating it could enter the ₹200 crore club if current momentum continues through the weekend.

Peddi became the first solo ₹100 crore movie for Ram Charan on Day 1 as it beat the street estimates. And now on the second day, the Telugu sports action drama has hit a century in gross domestic collections too. The collection milestone signals a strong comeback for the RRR star after his previous release Game Changer, which did not do well.
On Day 2, Peddi netted ₹15.51 crore in 7,058 domestic shows till 6 pm, according to Sacnilk.
Adding to the preview business and the opening day earnings, the total net domestic collection of Peddi rises to ₹85 crore. This takes the total gross domestic collection to ₹100.8 crore. This includes ₹14.21 crore from Telugu, ₹1.09 crore from Hindi and around 10 lakh each from Tamil and Kannada.
As per the latest official figures, the worldwide collection of Peddi was recorded at ₹135.36 crore on Day 1. Producers Vriddhi Cinemas shared the opening day box office figure in a post on Instagram. "Box office CHAMPION - #PEDDI SIR... Rs 135.36 CR+ gross worldwide on Day 1... Meet #PEDDI now in cinemas," the studio posted.
From the paid preview shows a day before its release, Peddi earned ₹18.5 crore in net domestic collection. On the day of release, it opened with a massive ₹51 crore collection in domestic business.
If the momentum keeps up during the weekend, Peddi can comfortably enter the ₹200 crore club.
Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, Peddi is set in the 1980s rural Andhra Pradesh. It follows the journey of a lower-cast villager Peddi who becomes a wrestler to win dignity for his community.
Shiva Rajkumar plays the role Peddi's mentor Gournaidu, while Janhvi Kapoor is the female lead. Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani also appear in supporting roles. A.R. Rahman's music and Ratnavelu's cinematography are also notable.
