It seems the "Money Heist" universe has plenty of ideas left, as Netflix officially announced, in the form of a teaser titled 'The World of Money Heist Continues', that there will be more titles in what is being teased as a larger canvas. This indicates that there will be more properties beyond the original series and the spin-offs.

The teaser was accompanied by the message, "It began with money, then came gold and priceless treasure. But the revolution isn't over yet. What comes next has already begun."

Interestingly, this announcement precedes the release of the prequel series "Berlin: Season 2" — also known as  "Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine" — globally on May 15, 2026, on Netflix.

The teaser has are already speculations about the development of a Season 6, but there has not been any official announcements yet. But the teaser's final shot — a hidden gold bar being unearthed — has led to theories about a possible return of the original crew or a story set in a different timeline, like 'Berlin' did.

To promote the new development, a grand promptional event was held by Netflix in Seville, Spain, featuring a boat of red jumpsuit-clad and Dalí mask-wearing occupants, sailing down the Guadalquivir River to the tune of "Bella Ciao".

Currently, the franchise consists of the original five-season series (ended in 2021), the "Money Heist: Korea" adaptation, and the "Berlin" spin-off series.

The original "Money Heist" show consistently dominates Netflix's all-time charts for non-English series, reportedly clocking in approximately a total of over 1.3 billion hours of watch time, with about 160 million total views globally.

The "Berlin" prequel focusing on Pedro Alonso’s character has also seen record-breaking success, with recorded views of approximately 53–56 million views, and roughly 348 million hours of watch time.
