'Kevin' on Prime Video: When is Aubrey Plaza's adult animated comedy series premiering?

For fans of mature animation, actors Aubrey Plaza ("Emily the Criminal", "The White Lotus -  Season 2") and Jason Schwartzman ("Rushmore", "The Grand Budapest Hotel") have collaborated on "Kevin", an adult animated comedy series which is set to debut globally on Prime Video on April 20.

According to the official logline, the eight-episode show revolves around the titular cat, which shifts to a local pet rescue after his human owners break up. There, he makes friends with a chaotic bunch of misfit animals who will 'help him to figure out what he really wants out of life.'

Jason Schwartzman voices Kevin, a housecat who decides to "try life without people", and Aubrey Plaza voices Dana, one half of the couple. Other lead voice cast members who play Kevin's cat roommates include Whoopi Goldberg ("The Lion King", "Sister Act"), John Waters ("Hairspray", "Liar Mouth"), and Aparna Nancherla ("The Great North", "Bob’s Burgers"). The man who runs the local pet rescue is played by Gil Ozeri ("Big Mouth", "Monsters") and his dog is played by Amy Sedaris ("BoJack Horseman", "At Home with Amy Sedaris").

Aubrey Plaza co-created and executive-produced the show with Joe Wengert, who is also the showrunner.  Other exec producers are Dan Murphy, Chris Prynoski, Ben Kalina, Shannon Prynoski, and Antonio Canobbio.
