Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge is inches away from achieving the Rs 1,100 crore milestone in net domestic box office collection as the Ranveer Singh spy thriller saw renewed momentum on fourth Tuesday.
On Day 27, Dhurandhar 2 managed to bag Rs 7.05 crore from just 7,105 shows with 17 per cent occupancy till 10 pm, reports Sacnilk. This is because of holiday due to Ambedkar Jayanti. The total net domestic collection stands at Rs 1,095.67 crore and the movie needs less than Rs 5 crore for the Rs 1,100 crore milestone. The total gross domestic box office collections was pegged at Rs 1,311.68 crore.
The Hindi version of Dhurandhar 2 minted Rs 1,027.73 crore while it raked in Rs 41.97 crore in Telugu, Rs 18.93 crore in Tamil, Rs 3.41 crore in Kannada and Rs 1.77 crore in Malayalam.
The worldwide box office collection of Dhurandhar 2 was recorded at Rs 1,727.93 crore. The film has bagged Rs 416.25 crore from overseas screens.
Dhurandhar 2 has seen a smooth run in the box office without any major releases in Bollywood so far. However, Akshay Kumar starrer Bhooth Bangla, a fantasy horror comedy directed by Priyadarshan, is set to release on April 17. It remains to be seen if the new release will result in lower number of shows for the Aditya Dhar directorial and brings down its daily box office collections in the fifth week.
However, Dhurandhar 2 could still beat the worldwide collections of Baahubali 2 (Rs 1,788.06 crore) and Pushpa 2 (Rs 1,742.1 crore).
