Vaazha 2’s incredible box office run continues across Kerala as the comedy-drama marks a week since its theatrical release. The film reportedly achieved a major box office milestone on Wednesday by officially entering the ₹100-crore club globally.

Vaazha 2 is the third-fastest film in the history of the Malayalam industry to collect 100 crore from the global box office. The only two Mollywood releases to have reached this milestone faster are Mohanlal’s Empuraan and Thudarum.

While Thudarum achieved this feat in six days, the Prithviraj-directorial Empuraan managed it in just a couple of days, Asianet said in a report. Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra, the highest-grossing Malayalam film to date, also reached the 100-crore club in seven days.

According to local media reports, footfall in theatres remains steady and any dip at the box office seems unlikely. On the contrary, Vaazha 2 is surging in ticket sales and theatre occupancy, the Asianet report said. The fact that it is the summer holiday in Kerala, combined with the absence of notable rivals, has made conditions favourable for the coming-of-age film.

Notably, the film surpassed the first part’s total collection within just four days.

At the end of its opening five-day run, Aadu 3 is said to be the highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2026 so far, and the first Malayalam film of 2026 to enter the ₹100-crore club, with a total worldwide gross of ₹118 crore. However, there is a strong possibility that Vaazha 2 could soon dethrone it.
