Sunny Deol and Jyothika are reportedly starring in a new project touted as an action thriller.
Produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment in association with popular filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss, the yet-untitled (tentative title: 'Antony') has commenced filming.
A report in Bollywood Hungama says the film is directed by debutant Balaji Ganesh, a Chennai-based filmmaker who has worked as a co-director with A. R. Murugadoss on numerous big-scale projects.
In addition to Sunny and Jyothika, the film is set to feature some impressive talent both in front of and behind the camera. Ritesh Sidhwani, Farhan Akhtar, and A. R. Murugadoss are producing, while the co-producers include Kassim Jagmagia, Vishal Ramchandani, Aditya Joshi, Sunnil Jain, and Yusuf Shaikh.

Deol, who is coming off the tremendous box-office success of Border 2, is also looking forward to the release of "Lahore 1947". Starring Preity Zinta as the female lead, and directed by veteran filmmaker Rajkumar Santoshi and produced by Aamir Khan under his banner Aamir Khan Productions, the historical epic has a confirmed release window: August 13, 2026 (Independence Day week).
"Lahore 1947" marks a reunion between Rajkumar Santoshi and Sunny Deol after their iconic past collaborations, such as Damini and Ghayal. It may be recalled that Ghayal marked Santoshi's directorial debut.
Sunny Deol's other co-stars in "Lahore 1947" include Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Mithun Chakraborty, Abhimanyu Singh, and Karan Deol in key roles. AR Rahman is composing the score from lyrics by Javed Akhtar.
