"In Bruges" and "Three Billboards a Ebbing, Missouri" director Martin McDonagh is returning to the thriller genre. The Irish filmmaker is gearing up to bring out his new film titled 'Wild Horse Nine". The film, scripted by McDonagh himself, is expected to  come out in time for awards season, with the backing of Disney’s Searchlight Pictures.

'Wild Horse Nine' is expected to center on the dynamic between two central characters, as in "In Bruges" and "Three Billboards". As per reports, "Wild Horse Nine" revolves around a couple of CIA agents on a "trust-testing mission from Santiago to Easter Island during the 1973 coup in Chile."

Other cast members include Parker Posey, Steve Buscemi, John Malkovich, Tom Waits, and Mariana Di Girolamo.

Filming has been already completed in Santiago and Rapa Nui.

The project sees McDonagh involved as a co-producer, reuniting with frequent co-producing partners Graham Broadbent and Peter Czernin, in addition to Anita Overland.

Meanwhile, Sam Rockwell will be seen next in director Gore Verbinski's "Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die". In the film, Rockwell plays a man "claiming to be from the future takes the patrons of an iconic Los Angeles diner hostage in search of unlikely recruits in a quest to save the world."

Gore Verbinski is known for the blockbuster "Pirates of the Carribean" trilogy, "The Ring", and the animated Johnny Depp-voiced "Rango".
