During the course of the first weekend,  the Alia Bhatt-Sharvari spy action thriller "Alpha" grossed Rs 40.80 crore in India, while the net total has reached Rs 34 crore. The total overseas gross has now reached Rs 18 crore, with the cumulative worldwide gross totalling Rs 58.80 crore, showed box office estimates from Sacnilk.

The first weekend collection alone puts "Alpha" ahead of "Jigra" in terms of both domestic lifetime net and worldwide gross. The YRF Spy universe entry did not exactly have a warm welcome on opening day, as far as social media reactions and critics' reviews are concerned. But it has already surpassed the entire domestic net lifetime collection of "Jigra" (Rs 30.69 crore) and eclipsed its global gross (Rs 55.05 crore).

Interestingly, the second-day spike in "Alpha" net collections mirrored the day-two total of the Meghna Gulzar espionage drama (both hitting around Rs 11.30 crore net). However, because "Alpha" started with a bigger Day 1 (Rs 9.25 crore vs Rs 7.53 crore), its head start gives it a stronger foundation to target the Rs 100 crore club. Though "Alpha" has underperformed compared to the standard male-driven Yash Raj Spy Universe films (like "Pathaan" and "War"), it is poised to become one of the most lucrative female-driven commercial action movies in Bollywood history, provided the weekday performance remains steady.

"Raazi" went on to become a Rs 123.84 crore lifetime domestic blockbuster. However, "Raazi", "Jigra", and "Alpha" currently trail Alia's "Gangubai Kathiawadi", which collected Rs 39.12 crore in 3 days and remains her highest-grossing movie so far.
