Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu's net India collection now stands at ₹214.48 crore as of Thursday. Today, the thirty-second day of its theatrical release, the Anil Ravipudi-directorial collected ₹0.13 crore, box office aggregation website Sacnilk said. With the numbers from the evening and night shows remaining, it is likely that the Telugu superhit will collect close to half a crore net—similar to the trend witnessed on Wednesday and Tuesday.
Mana ShankaraVaraprasad Garu had managed to collect ₹1 crore on Sunday, Sacnilk said. Since Monday, it has reportedly collected ₹0.6 crore, ₹0.5 crore, and ₹0.6 crore. The movie seems incapable of breaching the ₹300 crore mark, and even the ₹275 crore mark is unlikely to be touched.
The film follows an NSG officer, Shankara Vara Prasad (Chiranjeevi), trying to find a way to get back to his estranged wife, an affluent businesswoman (Nayanthara), following a divorce triggered by ego clashes and misunderstandings for which her father (Sachin Khedekar) is mainly responsible. When he comes across an opportunity in the form of a protection detail, he takes on the assignment hoping to repair fractured bonds and embark on a fresh journey with his family.
Other cast members include Catherine Tresa and an extended cameo by Venkatesh Daggubati, who plays a character from Prasad's past—someone who could complicate the latter's attempts to reclaim his family.
The film met with mixed reviews from critics, who praised Chiranjeevi's performance and comic timing but found the overall writing underwhelming.
