After 'Varanasi', Priyanka Chopra to be back for Hrithik Roshan's 'Krrish 4': Report

Chopra was the female lead in the last two "Krrish" films, and there was uncertainty regarding her return to the franchise. Her last Hindi feature was "The Sky is Pink", opposite Farhan Akhtar

After a long hiatus, Priyanka Chopra is set to return to Hindi cinema with "Krrish 4". According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, the "Varanasi" actress has been confirmed as the female lead of the fourth title of the popular franchise fronted by Hrithik Roshan, who is also making his directorial debut with the project.

Chopra was the female lead in the last two "Krrish" films, and there was uncertainty regarding her return to the franchise. Her last Hindi feature was "The Sky is Pink", opposite Farhan Akhtar.

Meanwhile, all eyes are on Chopra and the rest of the team in "Varanasi". Expectations are sky high for the SS Rajamouli epic starring Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The project, which is being mounted on a massive budget, will blend mythology and sci-fi. Mahesh Babu is expected to essay dual characters in two eras. Prithviraj plays the chief antagonist, while Priyanka Chopra has been revealed to play a mysterious thief.

Chopra is reportedly being paid a massive paycheck — more than what she was paid for her past Bollywood projects — for her role in "Varanasi", as per a source quoted in Bollywood Hungama.

“Unlike the A-listers in Bollywood, Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu had absolutely no problem working with Priyanka. They treated her like the cinema royalty that she is, offered her the money that she gets in the West, which is much more than what she ever got for any Hindi film, and expanded her role when she stepped in,” said the insider.

"Varanasi" will arrive in theatres on April 7, 2027.
