One of the better shows to come out from Apple's streaming stable is the Jon Hamm-fronted Your Friends & Neighbors, from creator Jonathan Tropper, and executive produced by Hamm.
Two months ahead of the premiere of the second season, the streamer has announced that the show will be getting a third season. A teaser for Season 2 has also been released.
Season 2 will premiere on April 3, with one episode, followed by a new episode each week, until the season finale on June 5.
As per the official logline, the new season will see Andrew Cooper (Hamm) doubling down on his life as an unlikely suburban thief, until the arrival of a new neighbour threatens to expose his secrets and place his family at risk.
Aside from returning cast members Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt, and Donovan Colan, Season 2 will have James Marsden joining the cast as the new neighbour moving into the same locality.
The show is based on the book of the same name by Tropper, who is also involved as showrunner, director and executive producer. Hamm's co-executive producers include Connie Tavel, Craig Gillespie, Jamie Rosengard, Lori Keith Douglas and Stephanie Laing. Laing has also directed six episodes.
Your Friends & Neighbors marks Jon Hamm's first lead role in television/streaming since the long-running Mad Men, which won multiple accolades, including for Hamm's performance.
The actor also had a significant presence in the first season of Landman opposite Billy Bob Thornton. Hamm is also part of the Apple TV drama series The Morning Show, co-starring Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon.
