Border 2 continues to do well at the domestic box office. The war drama did see a drop on Monday, almost a 50 percent fall from Friday but for a largely frontloaded film, this drop is acceptable. The second weekend saw a huge trend for Border 2 as the film doubled up from Friday on Sunday.
The second weekend numbers for Border 2 were around Rs 52-53 crore nett and on its second Monday, the film reported figures of around Rs 5.20 crore nett. According to early estimates, Tuesday's figures are expected to be in a similar range. The footfalls would probably be higher as ticket rates are lesser, even if not in the usual discounted zone.
The 12-day figures for Border 2 in India will be around Rs 276 crore nett, with the gross figures going past Rs 325 crore. Overseas, the film has done well and is moving towards Rs 50 crore - an excellent achievement as films of this genre are usually not overseas friendly. Also, Border 2 was banned in the Gulf which contributes to a huge chunk for Bollywood films overseas.

Border 2 is certain go past the Rs 300 crore nett mark during this week and the lifetime figures are looking to be around Rs 325-375 crore nett. It is a downgrade from the initial trends which suggested Rs 500 crore nett but the film didn't sustain as expected after an earth-shattering extended opening weekend.
Nevertheless, Border 2 is a SUPERHIT at the box office and might not attain the BLOCKBUSTER status that it threatened to at the start of its theatrical run. It still marks a brilliant start to 2026 for Bollywood and the hope is for the other biggies to keep this winning streak going.
