Jason Sudeikis and gang are officially returning for a fourth season to Apple TV. The streamer unveiled the first look featuring Sudeikis and Hannah Waddingham, and the other principal cast members including Juno Temple, Emmy Award winner Brett Goldstein (also writer and executive producer), Brendan Hunt (also executive producer) and Jeremy Swift. The new cast members are Tanya Reynolds, Jude Mack, Faye Marsay, Rex Hayes, Aisling Sharkey, Abbie Hern and Grant Feely.
The show is expected to begin streaming in Summer 2026, that is, a release window after May 2026. An official date is yet to be announced.
Sudeikis involved as both star and executive producer. The official logline mentions Sudeikis' titular character Ted Lasso returning to Richmond to take on his "biggest challenge yet: coaching a second division women’s football team. Throughout the course of the season, Ted and the team learn to leap before they look, taking chances they never thought they would."
The fourth season also sees the involvement of Emmy Award winner Jack Burditt (“Nobody Wants This,” “Modern Family,” “30 Rock”) as executive producer. Sudeikis is serving as an executive producer alongside Hunt, Joe Kelly, Jane Becker, Jamie Lee and Bill Wrubel. Goldstein serves as writer and executive producer alongside Leann Bowen. Sarah Walker and Phoebe Walsh are involved as writers and producers for season four, with Sasha Garron co-producing. Julia Lindon is the other co-writer while Dylan Marron is involved as story editor.
