Nearly a month after its theatrical release, which saw Nivin Pauly return to form, Sarvam Maya will be available for home viewing. Streaming platform JioHotstar officially announced that the lighthearted entertainer will begin streaming from January 30.

The film, which blends fantasy, supernatural and comedy in a refreshingly breezy manner, is directed by Akhil Sathyan, who made his debut with the hit Fahadh Faasil-starrer Paachuvum Athbudha Vilakkum. In Sarvam Mayam, Nivin Pauly plays an atheist who becomes a priest to make ends meet while he looks for ways to be an aspiring musician.

In its glowing review of the film, THE WEEK wrote: "Sarvam Maya is loaded with feel-good vibes. It's not for someone seeking a dark and gritty movie where the protagonist grapples with the effects of a major traumatic event or conflict. No. There are other directors who are experts at that sort of cinema. Akhil Sathyan is not making that kind of movie. Yes, the protagonist has experienced a painful past event, but it’s not the extremely heavy sort. If you go in expecting the kind of cinema made by the same man who made Paachuvum Athbudha Vilakkum, you are most likely to come away feeling pleased."

The review also added that while the writing is not "masterpiece" material, it's "undoubtedly one designed to make the viewer feel completely at ease — despite the ghostly presence (aptly cast) — and, maybe, make them love themselves in case they don't, or make them love themselves even more if they already do."

With cinematography by Sharan Velayudhan and editing by Akhil Sathyan and Rathin Radhakrishnan, Sarvam Maya has a memorable soundtrack by Justin Prabhakaran.
