The makers of the upcoming Shahid Kapoor film, directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, have released the teaser. Titled O'Romeo, the film, featuring Triptti Dimri as the female lead, is said to be a romance-based gangster drama, confirmed by the footage released.
The teaser reveals a host of surprise casting choices, including Nana Patekar, Farida Jalal, Tamannaah Bhatia, Avinash Tiwary, and Vikrant Massey. Shahid had earlier teased that O'Romeo would feature some interesting names, which he had not previously revealed.
Slated for a February 13 release, O'Romeo marks the fourth collaboration between Shahid and Bhardwaj. They have previously worked together on Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon.
In an earlier note announcing filming completion, Shahid wrote, "Excitement levels are off the charts. Our secretly titled, soon-to-be-announced film is done. As always, it’s a new world and a madly different character for me to play. A titular part from him for the 3rd time. I am one of the KAMINEY. I am HAIDER, and now I am …….. This post would be incomplete without including the stellar cast. Tripti Dimri, with whom I had a total blast. Watch out for her act in this one. Shahid also praised the work of Disha Patani, who makes a special appearance.
As for the surprise cameo, Shahid simply hinted that he is one of his favourite actors. "This one’s SUPER SPECIAL," he wrote then.
