After the promos of its lead female characters, filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, actor-producer Yash, and team Toxic: A Fairytale for Grown-Ups have finally dropped the promo of "the one they warned you about" — the character of Yash and his name 'Raya' — on the occasion of his birthday on January 8. Watch the teaser below:

The promo comes with the caption, "Only an insane man can do what legends fear". The gangster epic is slated for a grand release on March 19, 2026.

The much-anticipated gangster drama has a script co-written by Geetu and Yash. As evident in the promo, Toxic is expected to have Yash playing another daredevil character similar to his 'Rocky bhai' from the KGF films.

The team wrote and shot the big-scale gangster drama simultaneously in the Kannada and English languages, which will be accompanied by the dubbed versions of other Indian languages such as Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and more.

Produced by Yash in association with KVN Productions, Toxic has veteran cinematographer and filmmaker Rajeev Ravi (also Geetu's spouse) as the director of photography. A filmmaker in his own right, known for the Malayalam hits Annayum Rasoolum, Njan Steve Lopez, and Kammattipadam, Rajeev is noted mostly for his critically acclaimed collaborations with filmmaker Anurag Kashyap. Ravi Basrur, who worked on the music for the KGF movies and Salaar, is the composer. Ujwal Kulkarni is the editor, with Abid T.P. behind the production's massive sets.

It remains to be seen whether the makers will release a full trailer ahead of the movie's theatrical release or reveal short glimpses like this to not give any surprises away — and Toxic is expected to have loads of them. The project marks a major shift for Geetu Mohandas whose last two films Moothon (starring Nivin Pauly) and Liar's Dice (her directorial debut featuring Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Geetanjali Thapa) were strictly small-scale independent works.
