'Spirit' first look: Bruised and battered Prabhas in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's police thriller

The poster, which also features Triptii Dimri, has sparked comparisons to 'Animal'. The film stars Prabhas as a rebellious police officer and reunites director Vanga with Dimri and composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar

Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Prabhas, and Triptii Dimri have revealed the first-look poster of their much-anticipated Spirit, on the occasion of New Year. It has SANDEEP REDDY VANGA written all over it: bruised male protagonist with long hair and sunglasses, holding a glass of drink, while his woman lights his cigarette for him. The poster has already set Internet ablaze. Some netizens were quick to compare it to Ranbir Kapoor's look in Animal, while others called it another one of the filmmaker's "wet dreams."

Production officially began in November 2025.

A while before that, Sandeep Reddy Vanga revealed a multi-lingual 'Sound Story' which gives us a taste of the film's dialogues without the visuals, hinting at his protagonist's rebellious trait — someone with "one bad habit."

In the movie, which has Prabhas playing a police officer, Triptii plays the female lead. The two are joined by Vivek Oberoi, Kanchana, and Prakash Raj.

Harshavardhan Rameshwar, who wrote the music for Animal, has been roped in to work on the score for Spirit. Cinematographer Raj Thota, who made his debut with Arjun Reddy, will handle the camera.

The project marks the first collaboration of Prabhas and Vanga, and the reunion of Dimiri with Vanga after Animal, the Ranbir Kapoor-starring blockbuster in which she played the second female lead.

Dimri, known for her arresting performance in the supernatural period thriller Bulbbul, has recently been a notable presence in mainstream entertainers, such as Animal, Bad Newz, and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. Spirit will reportedly feature her in a strong character role.

Spirit is among Prabhas's most hyped upcoming slate of big-scale releases, aside from The RajaSaab and Fauzi (Parts 1 & 2).
