Actress Nandini CM dies by suicide

Tamil and Kannada TV actress Nandini CM died by suicide at her Bengaluru residence. The authorities have recovered a chilling death note addressed to her parents.

In Tamil industry, she is known for her contrasting roles in the TV serial, Gowri. Coincidentally, Nandini's character consumes poison in one of the scenes in Gowri. She has also acted in Kannada TV serials like Jeeva Hoovagide, Madhumagalu, Neenade Naa and Sangharsha.

What did the suicide note say?

Nandini, who hails from Kottur, was residing in a PG accommodation in Kengeri, Bengaluru. In the suicide note, Nandini addressed her parents, saying she was not prepared to get married and that she was suffering from depression due to some reasons.

Nandini revealed in the note that she was being forced to get married by her parents against her will.

Police said they are looking at the death note as a key piece of evidence as the investigation progresses. They registered an unnatural death case at the Kengeri police station under Section 194 of the BNSS Act, 2023.

According to preliminary investigation, she died between 11.16 pm on December 28 and 12.30 am on December 29. Police were alerted about the death around 9.15 am.

Nandini who completed her PUC education in Ballari in 2018 dropped out from her engineering course at RR Institute of Technology in Chikkabanavara.
