Bison Kaalamaadan has raked in Rs 24.12 crore in net domestic earnings, as per early estimates on Day 6, reported Sacnilk.
The Dhruv Vikram starrer minted Rs 1.62 crore as of 6 pm on Day 6, according to Sacnilk.
Bison Kaalamaadan collected Rs 31.5 crore in worldwide box office in the first five days. This includes Rs 26.35 crore in gross domestic collection and Rs 5.15 crore in overseas collection.
The movie earned Rs 5.9 crore on Day 5 while on Day 4 it bagged Rs 6 crore. Bison Kaalamaadan opened to Rs 2.7 crore net India earnings on Friday. The first weekend saw the Tamil movie taking home Rs 3.4 crore on Saturday and Rs 4.5 crore on Sunday.
On Day 5, Bison Kaalamaadan had an occupancy of 43.51 per cent in the morning shows and 72.2 per cent in the afternoon. For evening shows, around 69.93 per cent seats were filled and in the night, nearly 63.77 per cent.
Directed by Mari Selvaraj and produced by Applause Entertainment and Neelam Studios, Bison Kaalamaadan is inspired by the life of Manathi Ganesan, a kabbadi player. Dhruv Vikram won hearts with his performance while the movie's gripping narrative has also received praise.
Other cast include Anupama Parameswaran, Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Rajisha Vijayan, and Azhagam Perumal. Music is composed by Nivas K. Prasanna while editing is done by Sakthi Thiru and cinematography by Ezhil Arasu K.
Superstar Rajinikanth has dialled Mari Selvaraj for his effort in the making of Bison Kaalamaadan. "Super Mari Super, I watched Bison. The effort and personality you put into the film amazed me. Congratulations Mari," the actor told the director.
