On the OTT front, Apple TV+ will premiere the fifth season of Slow Horses, while Netflix brings English series House of Guinness and Korean assassin thriller Mantis. Two Malayalam films will have their streaming releases after their theatrical run: Mohanlal's Hridayapoorvam and Fahadh Faasil's Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira.

They Call Him OG | Sept. 25
Directed by Sujeeth, the Telugu action-crime drama has Pawan Kalyan playing a gangster named Ojas Gambheera who returns to Mumbai following a ten-year absence to settle scores with a rival played by Emraan Hashmi, who is making his Telugu acting debut. Priyanka Arul Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, and Sriya Reddy are among the principal cast members.
Homebound | Sept. 26
Directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, and starring Ishaan Khatter, Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor, it tells the story of two childhood friends from a small north Indian village who chase a police job in the hope of earing the dignity they have long been denied. It will represent India in the Best International Feature category in the upcoming Oscars.
One Battle After Another | Sept. 26
Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson is following up his last film, Licorice Pizza, with a star-studded new film titled One Battle After Another, which is said to be the filmmaker's unique version of an action film. Leonardo DiCaprio leads the film which also features Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, Regina Hall, Alana Haim, Wood Harris, and Shayna McHayle.
Karam | Sept. 25
Malayalam filmmaker Vineeth Sreenivasan returns to the action genre after 2013's Thira. Starring his friend and Jacobinte Swargarajyan producer Noble Babu Thomas, the film, shot in India and abroad, has the actor playing a character on the trail of a terrorist figure. Noble has appeared in the films Mukundan Unni Associates and Helen.
Balti | Sept. 26
A Malayalam-Tamil bilingual, the Shane Nigam-starrer is a sports action drama, which has Premam director Alphonse Puthren and veteran Tamil filmmaker Selvaraghavan as one of its cast members. Preeti Asrani plays the female lead, while Tamil actor Shanthanu Bhagyaraj in an integral role.

Season 5 of the espionage series will see Gary Oldman reprise his Jackson Lamb role, with returning cast members Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Ruth Bradley, James Callis, Tom Brooke and Jonathan Pryce.
House of Guinness | Netflix | Sept. 25
From Steven Knight, creator of Peaky Blinders, the eight-episode series tells the "extraordinary story of a family who happens to be the inheritors of the biggest brewery in the world" inspired by Europe's Guinness family.
Hridayapoorvam | JioHotstar | Sept. 26
The Sathyan Anthikad directorial starring Mohanlal and Malavika Mohanan is a feel-good drama that revolves around a restaurant owner and chef who travels to Bengaluru to stay at the home of the late army colonel whose heart now beats in the former's body after a transplant operation.
Mantis | Netflix | Sept. 26
The assassin thriller comes from the imagination of Byun Sung-hyun, director of Kill Boksoon. Set in the same world of that film, it has Yim Si-wan ("Unlocked", "Emergency Declaration") playing the titular character who was mentioned in Kill Boksoon as an "assassin on vacation".
Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira | Netflix | Sept. 26
Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan headline a quirky rom-com. The two characters' unusual love story runs parallel to that of another character played by Revathy Pillai, whose path crosses with the character of Fahadh. Lal plays Fahadh's father, while Dhyan Sreenivasan makes a cameo appearance.
