'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle' Day 10 Box Office Collection: Japanese anime's Hindi version beats English shows during 2nd weekend

'Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle' has set records across the world, including the US box office

With the Japanese anime, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, completing two weekends, the Hindi shows of the movie has collected more than its English version in India net domestic collection.

In the first 10 days, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has netted Rs 62.45 crore in India, including Rs 34.85 crore in Japanese, according to Sacnilk data. Hindi shows collected Rs 13.62 crore in 10 days compared to Rs 12.35 crore while Tamil bagged Rs 82 lakh and Telugu raked in Rs 81 lakh.

On Day 10, which was September 21, the movie collected Rs 4 crore in India, including Rs 2.25 crore from Japanese shows alone. The gross domestic collection in India was recorded at Rs 76 crore while the overseas collection was Rs 2,875 crore.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle has set records across the world, including the US box office. It crossed the $100 million milestone in the US, becoming the first anime movie to achieve the feat in the country. It also recorded the biggest second three-day weekend ever for anime genre in the US, collecting $17.3 million.

The prequel of the Japanese anime movie, Demon Slayer: Mugen Train, also set records in the US. It grossed $21.2 million in its first weekend to become the then-highest US foreign language film debut. It grossed half a billion dollars worldwide, which has indirectly contributed to the success of Infinity Castle.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle is also the second-highest grossing Japanese film and the second most profitable movie in Japan.
