A new thriller series, starring Pratik Gandhi ("Scam 1992"), is hitting the streaming space soon. Set in the 1970s, Saare Jahan Se Acha: The Silent Guardians is billed as a suspense thriller, with a Netflix premiere slated for August 13, 2025.
Directed by Sumit Purohit and created by Gaurav Shukla, the show centres on an Indian intelligence officer working to thwart a nuclear threat.
The principal cast members of Saare Jahan Se Accha: The Silent Guardians include Pratik Gandhi, Sunny Hinduja, Suhail Nayyar, Tillotama Shome, Kritika Kamra, Rajat Kapoor, and Anup Soni. Hinduja is seemingly playing the show's principal antagonist and the rival of Pratik Gandhi's character, operating from across the border.
The makers of Saare Jahan Se Accha released the trailer on Monday, showing us a glimpse of what to expect from the show.
Interestingly, director Sumit Purohit worked with Pratik Gandhi previously in Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story as its lead story writer and editor.
Pratik Gandhi was last seen in the romantic action-comedy Dhoom Dhaam, co-starring Yami Gautam, released on Netflix in February. He also played social reformer Jyotirao Phule in his biopic Phule.
Notably, Pratik is also reuniting with Hansal Mehta on another series, the biopic of Gandhi, with the actor in the titular role. The show, which has music by A.R. Rahman, is based on the books 'Gandhi Before India' and 'Gandhi: The Years That Changed the World' by Ramachandra Guha. Filming for the first season was completed last year. The makers are reportedly planning it as a three-season show.
