Recently, veteran Telugu actor Mohan Babu was in the news following a violent altercation with reporters who were accused by the former of barging into his property after the press got wind of a major dispute between Mohan Babu and his sons Manchu Manoj and Manchu Vishnu.
Now, another troubling news has found the former. News18 reports that a complaint, filed in Andhra Pradesh's Khammam district by an individual named Chittimallu, alleges Mohan Babu was responsible for the deaths of Soundarya and her brother Amarnath.
The siblings were killed, along with two others, on April 17, 2004, when the private aircraft in which they were flying crashed. Soundarya, who was said to be pregnant then, was reportedly en route to a political campaign event. The cause of the crash is yet unknown. Her body was not recovered. She was 31.
As per the complaint, things turned sour between Mohan Babu, Soundarya and Amarnath after the siblings refused to sell six acres of land in Shamshabad’s Jalpalli village to the former.
The News18 report also says the siblings had faced significant pressure from Mohan Babu to sell the land and illegally took possession of it after their deaths.
