Sandra Bullock leads a relatively private life. The 60-year-old actress does not engage in any form of social media and prefers to stay away from the same. Now, the actress spoke out against social media scammers posing as her and urged her fans to be vigilant of such frauds.
In a statement to People, the Bird Box actress said, "My family's safety, as well as the innocent people being taken advantage of, is my deep concern, and there will be a time when I will comment more, but for now our focus is helping law enforcement handle this matter."

"Please be aware that I do not participate in any form of social media. Any accounts pretending to be me or anyone associated with me are fake accounts and have been created for financial gain or to exploit people around me," she added.
Her statement comes a day after her sister, Gesine Bullock-Prado, took to Instagram to expose fake accounts using her name on Facebook. Calling out Meta and Mark Zuckerberg, she wrote in a detailed Instagram caption that she has reported these accounts multiple times on the platform, in addition to directly addressing the issue to Meta personnel. However, all efforts have proven ineffective as the accounts still remain active.
“I spend multiple times a day reporting fakes, dealing with weird & scary emails to my BUSINESS and HOME from men who believe that, through one of these many fake “me”s, they have a relationship with my sister through private messages and off app sites and have been giving (sometimes) THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS to an incredibly famous and successful grown assed woman,” the caption read.
Sandra Bullock last appeared on the big screen in the action-comedy film Bullet Train (2022).
