“I am not ashamed of my sexuality”: 'Young Dumb and Broke' singer Khalid comes out as gay after being outed on social media

American singer and songwriter Khalid has come out as gay on X (formerly Twitter). The announcement comes after the Young Dumb and Broke singer had been outed on social media.

Khalid shared a tweet where he simply posted the rainbow flag – a representation for the LGBTQIA community, and added, “there yall go. next topic please lol”.

Netizen took to the comments to share their support for the Lovely singer. “I just hate that you didn’t announce it. Exposing is never cute, at all,” one user wrote, while another replied, “sorry you couldnt come out on your own terms we love u!”

Khalid followed the announcement with a series of tweets, confirming his sexuality as 'gay'. He further went on to say that he is not ashamed his sexual orientation, and that “it ain’t nobodies business”.

He also retweeted many comments claiming that they already knew he was gay.
